Element table - parameters describing the behavior in time. These include on the  one hand parameters governing the creep and shrinkage behavior, and on the other hand parameters governing the damping behavior in dynamic time history analyses.

SettingDescription
Element Number of the current element
Data in the table
SettingDescription
Elem Element number - increasing order
Type Element type
  • Beam: Beam element
  • Cable: Beam element
  • Spring: Linear spring element (static spring)
  • SFrict: Friction spring
  • SCont: Nonlinear spring
  • SCompr: Compression only spring
  • STens: Tension only spring
  • SBilin: Bilinear spring (spring with 2 different case-dependent linear characteristics)
  • Stiff: Arbitrary user defined stiffness matrix
  • Flex: User defined flexibility matrix
  • Vdamp: Viscous damper element
  • SDamp: Damper spring
Status Activation status of the element
  • Inact: Element is not active (has not yet been activated or has been deactivated)
  • Act: Element is active
Parameters for the Creep and Shrinkage Calculation
SettingDescription
Age Concrete age when the element is activated
ts Concrete age when the shrinkage process starts
RH Average relative air humidity of the environment of the element (in %)
RPR Stiffness ratio (As/Ac * Es/Ec)
  • As: Reinforcement area
  • Ac: Concrete area
  • Es: E-modulus of reinforcement
  • Ec: E-modulus of concrete
TMP Average ambient air temperature on site
Parameters for the dynamic time history analysis
SettingDescription
Alpha;Beta Rayleigh-damping constants: [c] = alfa*[m] + beta*[k]
  • [c]: Damping matrix
  • [m]: Mass matrix
  • [k]: Stiffness matrix
Damping Modal damping ratio for assessment of the different natural modes in case of modal analysis with frequency-dependent damping. The global value Xsi defined in Recalc > Dynamics is taken if no element value is defined.
